Welcome to DaddyFigs.com — Real Talk from a Work-from-Home Dad
Welcome to DaddyFigs.com — Real Talk from a Work-from-Home Dad! | Hey there, I’m Jay. I’m a work-from-home dad of three amazing kids, aged 3, 4, and 6. Yep — it’s a party every day here! I’m married to my college sweetheart, and we both work in the healthcare industry (don’t ask how we pull that off). We live in the suburbs, blessed with two playful dogs and a whole lot of laughter, chaos, and coffee.
This blog — DaddyFigs.com — is my way of sharing the wild, real, and often hilarious ride of being a work-from-home dad in the 2020s. Whether you’re a fellow stay-at-home dad, a full-time remote worker, or somewhere in between, I want this to be a space where you’ll find tips, encouragement, and stories that make you nod your head and say, “Bro, same.”
Why I Started This Blog
Like many of you, the whole work-from-home setup came out of necessity. Between juggling virtual meetings, getting kids ready for school, meal preps, and jiu jitsu drills in the bed room, I realized there aren’t enough voices out there for dads like us. Hardworking, engaged, and struggling dads. Dads who work, try to be healthy, clean, and occasionally look in the mirror and ask, “What is happening right now??”
There’s no perfect manual for balancing fatherhood, career, personal health, and self development. But I figured — why not build a space where we can learn from each other?
What You Can Expect from DaddyFigs.com
This isn’t just another “dad blog.” DaddyFigs.com is your digital backyard — a place to hang out, share life hacks, and keep it real. I’ll be posting about:
- Work-from-home dad hacks: Productivity tips, managing virtual work meetings with small kids, and how to survive a work day with limited time to focus.
- Health and fitness: How I squeeze in workouts between school drop-offs, and why Brazilian Jiu Jitsu helps me stay sane (and sore).
- Family: We’re a family of 5, and I’ll occasionally reflect on my marriage, parenting, and relationship with myself.
- Personal development: From time management to mental health to becoming a better husband and dad — we’re all a work in progress.
- Funny, raw stories: Because let’s be honest, sometimes the chaos is too good not to share.
Whether you’re a fellow work-from-home dad looking for practical tips, or just want to hear how another stay-at-home dad manages life with three tiny humans, this blog’s for you.
A Glimpse Into Our Life
Picture this: A three-year-old trying to feed the T-Rex with cereal, a four-year-old who’s obsessed with Pokemon, and a six-year-old asking deep questions like, “Dad, why do grownups always say they’re tired?”
That’s daily life here. My wife works night shift and I work behind screens in my little office space. But we make time for backyard soccer, bedtime stories, and the occasional late-night snacks while we watch a movie without one of us falling asleep.
Oh, and did I mention we have two dogs? One’s a very energetic Bull-Huskie named Nova. The other’s a small hairy mutt named Sadie who thinks she’s the boss. They’re part of the clan too.
Let’s Do This Together
Being a work-from-home dad has its ups and downs. Some days I feel like a superhero. Other days I’m just trying to make it to bedtime without losing my cool. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
So if you’re a dad figuring things out like I am — stay tuned. Subscribe to the blog, share your own stories, and join me as we talk about fatherhood, fitness, self development, and everything in between.
Welcome to DaddyFigs.com. Let’s build a community of strong, funny, hardworking dads who show up — every single day.
Catch you on the next post!
